Are We There Yet?

By Mommy Pundit • on October 26, 2009

supergirlTo get started, my name isn’t really Kate Gillespie. I’m writing anonymously to protect the innocent people in my life who didn’t ask for their lives to be published online. Here are a few tidbits you should know about us before I jump right into it.

I have two daughters, both of whom firmly believe the world revolves around them and that I am here to meet their every need. For the most part, I do that. This blog is my outlet, my scream into the night about the madness that is motherhood.

Also, I’m really dramatic and I exaggerate…a lot. Don’t take everything I say seriously. This blog is meant to make you laugh, to touch your heart, to remind you that you’re not alone in this parenting journey.

Feel free to make comments. I’ll write you back as I can. Maybe we can hold each other through the tough times and giggle our way through the outrageously funny stuff, too.

My posts begin with the arrival of Ladybug, daughter number one. We met her in southern China but she grew in our hearts years and years before that. I thought when I became a mom; I’d be there, wherever “there” is. I arrived. Now, I recognize that the journey is also the destination and I’ll be wondering “are we there yet?” for the rest of my life
